Interview #1 in 30 minutes! O_O

This is the intermediate school Lifeskills position.

Sooooooooooo, I know it's been a while. Basically, all the jobs that come up on the Conroe Internal postings website are all immediately labeled as "full" because the district already has somebody in mind. Super. Lame. So...it's been forEVER since I've done an update on myself... Basically, I'm stressed to the max about a job for the fall. I can't work as a para again next year; the salary just doesn't cut it. Good news: I took a full-time paraprofessional position as a special education aide in Conroe.

Bad news: I'll be making a fourth of what I'm worth. My college degree and teaching certificate don't factor into the pay scale. They only upgrade your pay if you have teaching experience ( Read more... )

So, apparently I didn't get the instructional aide job that I interviewed for last week. I thought the interview went well, and they were impressed that I hopped in the car and made the 2 1/2 hour drive right then, but I guess they found someone more qualified. Still waiting to hear back about that job that I was so excited about. It turned out to be a little bit different than advertised, but I think I'll still take it if they offer it to me. I thought my interview went well, and they said they'd let me know by Wednesday. Well, it's Thursday now and I'm starting to stress. :-/
